About Us
Our primary concern is the well-being of your pets and to ensure that their short stay with us is as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. The grooming facilities are in view of the shop so you can see the care and attention to detail that we bestow on your pets.
TOP DOG is located in South Hobart on Macquarie Street, only 5 minutes from the CBD and is especially convenient for those traveling from Kingston, the Huon Valley and the Channel being close to the Southern Outlet junction. There is short term parking immediately outside the shop and also around the corner in Darcy Street.
Top Dog is now being operated by Jenny Kingston. Jenny has been grooming dogs since 2004, and has been involved with dogs her whole life and therefore has had a range of experiences with them including taking part in dog showing and obedience training. Jenny is a qualified obedience instructor, has bred a small amount of litters and has raised and trained a number of dogs. Jenny has also been involved perhaps to a lesser extent with horses and even dairy goats and other farm animals as she was part owner of a hobby farm for 10 years.
Kresta Davis is a very important member of our team and has been grooming for several years. Kresta has excellent animal handling skills and has a very good understanding of, and report with dogs and cats alike, and is our main cat groomer. Kresta also has a farming background, and has won several awards at various shows for handling and presenting cattle.
Rosemary Dawson, (Rosie) is a fairly new member to our team and is loving the opportunity to get to know so many dogs. Rosie is also a cat lover and I am sure will go on to learn to groom them as well as dogs.
Because we have been taking a lot of bookings and customers have had to wait to long to get an appointment, we have now added another groomer to our team. Hayley Ransom has only just started working with us but is fitting in really well and quickly becoming another valued member of our team. Hayley has also had considerable experience at grooming having worked at both Chardonnay Pooches and Woofers Dog grooming in the past.
We are registered members of the Pet Industry Association of Australia (PIAA), and working toward full accreditation.
